Terri Alexander

Terri Alexander is the Founder of Yoga Breath Studio.

She is a Certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) and a 200-H Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) who has been committed to a daily yoga practice for more than 30 years. Terri has taught yoga in Kuwait and in the Middle East since 2003.

In addition to her yoga qualifications, Terri is currently pursuing a degree in Biobehavioral Health at Penn State University, State College. She is passionate on the therapeutic benefits of Yoga in the Tradition of T. Krishnamacharya, a healing practice meant to increase ones quality of life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

She is grateful for her teachers B.K.S. Iyengar at RIMYI Iyengar Institute in Pune India, Dona Holleman in Milan, Vanda Scaravelli in Florence among many others who influenced her practice and teachings. Today, Terri specializes in Iyengar Yoga, focusing on structural alignment, centering the core with gravity and using breath with a wave like motion to release the body into the pose.

Through the last 15 years she has traveled to India, Italy and back to America, where she teaches workshops and gives private Yoga Classes in therapeutics for specific needs.
